The EP presents the production debut of the collective’s first lady, Cherry Chan. Fresh from her Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA) stint in London earlier this year, Cherry partners with Kiat for the catchy kling-klang that is Samurai Waltz. Fellow RBMA alumnus Kidkanevil takes the waltz for a spin with his own special remix.
Marking another first in this release is Max Lane’s inclusion into the Qilin stable. Widely known as Syndicate’s bounce-meister, Max Lane rumbles the bass within his signature head-nodding beatscapes in Wohub. Qilin’s head honcho, Kiat, maintains the bass continuum for the compilation with Dark Insanity. A heavy number with a name that says it all.
To sum it up, the EP serves as an in-studio extension of Syndicate’s flight in presenting an engineered journey to shift the current perceptions of electronic dance music.
